Nestled into the idyllic village of Heysham, Grade II-listed Nettle Cottage offers the perfect cosy hideaway for any guest. The cottage has a rich history. Built-in the 1600s, it was used as a barn, later converted into Granny Hutchinson’s Nettle Tea Shop. We have strived to keep the cottage in style with its history when transforming it into cosy dog-friendly accommodation in Heysham.

Nettle Cottage has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Our 2-bedroom holiday cottage in Heysham sleeps up to 3 people with one double room and one single room. We are happy to welcome dogs who bring well-behaved owners. The cottage is next door to a great local dog-friendly pub serving a fantastic menu. Alternatively, you can cook your delicious meals in our fully equipped kitchen.

The Location

Nettle Cottage holiday home is in the historic Heysham Village with an abundance of nearby attractions. You can explore Heysham Barrows just a few steps away, visiting the ancient ruins or the historic St Peters Church. We have a nature reserve behind the cottage and the beautiful Half Moon Bay nearby. If you are visiting with your pets, you will be pleased to know almost all the nearby pubs and cafes in Heysham are dog-friendly. We are also perfectly located for those travelling to and from Heysham Port, with many visitors to the Isle of Man TT’s stopping off along the way.

Very clean, lovely cosy cottage with perfect decor. Wood burner is amazing. Bottle of Buck’s Fizz and chocolate was a lovely touch. Clean fresh towels. Nice kitchen. Comfy sofa. Location is perfect with a very nice pub next door and parking. A nice refreshing 10 min walk down to the bay for breakfast in a cafe the following morning. Lovely cosy accommodation perfect for the two of us and our dog. Everything you could need is available and the pub next door was a bonus, we ate there both nights of our stay excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere.
